Fès-Boulemane
Situated in northern Morocco, the region of Fes-Boulemane is home to more than 1.5 million people. The capital city of the region is the popular tourist destination of Fez.
The 19,795 square kilometer region of Fes-Boulemane encompasses the prefectures of Fes-Dar-Dbibegh, Moulay Yacoub and Sefrou, as well as the province of Boulemane. There are a number of interesting attractions within the region, including Bou Inania Madrasa, the University of Al-Karaouine, Dar Batha, numerous markets, delightful villages, the Grand Mosque of Sefrou and much more. There is also a fine selection of accommodation, from budget hostels to luxury riads. The main draw to the region of Fez-Boulemane is the renowned city of Fez, but the region in general is rich in history and culture, and certainly well worth exploring.
