Saidia Welcomes Best Western and Hivernage Hotel Developments
Seen by many as a vote of confidence in Morocco’s growing tourism trade, leading tourism developer Property Logic revealed that two new resorts would be developed in Saidia – the Best Western Premier Le Jardin de Fleur and the Hivernage Resort & Spa Saidia. With its stunning white beaches, clear, calm waters and pristine natural landscapes, the coastal town of Saidia, fondly referred to as the “blue pearl of Morocco”, has long been a favorite holiday destination for both domestic and international tourists, with increasing numbers of holidaymakers choosing to spend their vacation time in these idyllic surroundings.
Based in Phoenix, Arizona, U.S.A., Best Western International boasts more than 4,000 hotels located in around 80 countries. In 2002, Best Western International launched Best Western Premier as an upscale brand of hotels to provide a superior level of service and facilities to discerning travelers. There are currently more than 100 Best Western Premier hotels located in prime tourist destinations throughout Europe and Asia, and the new beach resort in Saidia has been selected as the setting for the first Best Western Premier hotel in the Middle East and Africa region. Director of Development for Best Western in Morocco, Stephane Cremel, stated that the hotel brand is proud to be part of the Saidia resort project.
The Best Western Premier Le Jardin de Fleur, which is scheduled to open by the end of June 2009, will feature 126 luxury hotel apartments, a lagoon swimming pool, family entertainment center, a health spa, café-bar, themed restaurant and a clubhouse. All of this luxury will be set in beautifully landscaped Moroccan gardens, conveniently located within easy walking distance of the beach and the golf-course.
The Hivernage Resort & Spa Saidia, a development by the Marakech-based luxury hotel operator, will feature 76 villa-type residences, each with its own private pool. The development will include indoor and outdoor lagoon pools, French brasserie, Moroccan spa, tennis courts and a fully equipped clubhouse. It is anticipated that the Hivernage Resort & Spa Saidia will open its doors for business in 2010.
Property Logic’s Director of Hotel and Commercial Operations, David Woodward, revealed that the company is currently in negotiations with other international and Moroccan hotel brands with a view to establishing Saidia as an indisputable world-class tourism destination, encouraging travelers from far and wide to enjoy the splendor of Morocco.
